Doug joined Coulter Partners in 2026 from The Higgins Group, where he was Senior Vice President, Client Partnerships and Head of Research. There, he advised biopharmaceutical founders, boards and investors on executive leadership appointments across R&D and related functions. Before moving into executive search, Doug practiced law, wrote fiction and taught creative writing, experience that informs both his analytical approach and his ability to tell clients’ stories in a way that engages top talent. He holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and an M.A. from Boston University.
