Coulter Partners X Hale House HealthTech Ecosystem Breakfast: Focusing on Healthspan

In collaboration with Hale House, London’s application-only HealthTech hub, we hosted our largest HealthTech Ecosystem Breakfast to date, with excellent support from AlbionVC. This event series, which started as an informal gathering, has grown into a quarterly 100+ person forum, proving the essential role of creating and nurturing connections within the ecosystem.

At Coulter Partners, we are dedicated to building teams that change the world, and our ecosystem events are designed to bring together the investors, founders, health leaders, and innovators driving that change.

The highlight of the event was a compelling panel discussion on Healthspan, moderated by @Ian Coyne and led by an impressive lineup of leaders:

• The persistence of the 'Health is free' mindset remains a challenge in the UK.
• Health equality will become a key societal issue if access is not proactively addressed.
• The panel discussed the concerning rise of mobile phone addiction and its impact on well-being.
• Achieving true Healthspan requires a foundation of science, advocating for evidence-based approaches.
• A clear call for Government action – citing the soft drink levy as a successful example that disproportionately benefited lower-income cohorts.
• The critical role of mental health in Healthspan, particularly noting the 18-25 age group as currently the least happy.
